In order to promote the value of education, SAVE rewards children who maintain their academic standards by providing financial assistance for the child to participate in extracurricular activities. These activities are not limited to sports, but may also include various arts and clubs.
Extracurricular activities are used as an avenue to attract youth and engage them with their teammates and community. SAVE does not have teams, but does sponsor youth to participate in any activity or sport of their choice. We partner with multiple organizations from the area in order to connect each child with the best fit based on their interests and needs.
Participating in these activities allows kids to develop a mentoring relationship with adults, positive relationships with their peers, higher grade point averages and grants them a higher likelihood of completing high school and enrolling into college. This is true across the board regardless of a student’s race, gender, previous academic achievement or socioeconomic background.
Activities Currently Sponsored by SAVE:
Piano, Dance, Soccer, Boy Scouts, Flag Football, Guitar, Volleyball, Swimming, Softball, T-Ball, Art, Basketball, 4-H Club, Baseball and Boxing.
